Miners at work reflected in a mud pool in Chudja mine in North eastern DRC. The Mine site was originally identified for  exploitation by artisinal miners in 1998. They abandoned the site during teh war when  a shortage of labor and insequrity forced  them away. In 2005 it  was  opened again. More than 2,000 people work daily in this mine..
