In 2011 refugees fled Somalia in such numbers that the existing camps in dadaab kenya couldn't hold them. They settled on the oustkirts of Dagahaley and Ifo in self built structures. These are at the edge of Dagahaley and the refugees here are being moved to Ifo extention a tented camp that opened in august 2011 that is closer to services, schools and health centers.
