Kenya runners IMG_8030.jpg
3,000-metre steeplechase newcomer Johanna Kariankei, 17, trains close to the Kenyan town of Iten. Athletes there are being hit by the economic crisis which is robbing races and runners of crucial sponsorship for overseas competitions. Johanna, who has never run outside Kenya, hopes the crisis will pass and he will be able to fulfil his dream of winning good money from international races.
