After more than 20 years of competitive racing Lesley Sercombe, left, has won 12 championships, and  is currently the only woman jockey racing in Kenya. The head lad Godfrey Asidigwa, center and Tom Wikesar, right help settle the horse for Sercombe. Sercombe begins her daily riding routine at 6 am and rides until 9:30 then oversees feeding in the yards. Her fitness routine is legendary. After riding she will often run 20 Km. Her family is deeply involved in the Kenyan horseracing scene.
